İpeker is one of the leading companies in its field with its high quality and service philosophy that respects the environment and people by bringing its fashion steering ideas into action in weaving, dying and printing collections.

Founded by Gaffarzade Mehmet Efendi at the end of 1800s, our company was named “İPEKER” in 1930 and is being operated nowadays by the synergy of the 3rd and 4th generations.
     
End of 1800s      

The İpeker family started the business at the end of 1800s as Gaffarzadeler with the production and trade of silkworm.

1920      

They started industrialism by establishing silk yarn unwinding and texturing facility.

1930      

İpeker weaving facility was established.

1932-1933      

İpeker Stores started to be opened.

1940-1950      

Dying and printing facilities were fully integrated. It became the most important integrated facility of Europe as of that era. The first automatic printing was founded in İpeker by Swiss Buser machinery.

1950-1955      

İpeker Company started its operations in İstanbul. Then the first İstanbul Store was opened in Beyoğlu.

   
1960-1965      

Manufacturing in the factory at Bursa Organized Industrial Zone started. In the meantime, “the first printed fabric” was exported to Paris, France.

1970-1980      

Company concentrated on export oriented works and general quality management started. Relations with Germany accelerated. Separate product groups apart from silk were formed. Export to London started. Transfer paper export to abroad started after the first transfer paper print was realized in Turkey, for the first time in 1970. Transfer papers manufactured by İpeker were used by İpeker for its own transfer prints in Turkey, for the first time, as well.

 
1980      

Many reputable European machinery manufacturers of today started their first business in Turkey in İpeker Factory. The state of the art technologies and investments towards enlargement were all used in İpeker factories. The first abrasion printings on polyester fabric by providing the technical developments were started by İpeker.

 
1985      

Continuous fining machine that adds silky qualities to the synthetic fabric was brought to Turkey by İpeker for the first time and it had an important role in the development of Turkish textile in the field of synthetics.

       
1985-1990      

Growth in Export as well as the relations with America accelerated and the first projectile shop assistants were imported from Sulzer Ruti, Switzerland.

 
1991      

The first new generation Stork CAD-CAM and the first Stork sample digital printing machine were brought in Turkey in this field.

 
1995      

Ausburg İpeker GmbH, Germany was founded and the collections designed abroad were exported first handedly, without any recourse.

1996      

Ecological fibrillate copper rayon CUPRO manufacture started in Turkey for the first time. İpeker accomplished obtaining the first OEKO – TEX 100 certificate in its field in the sector.

       
2000      

The period of commercial relations with Russia and opening up to the new markets started.

 
2008      

Ipeker started exporting to the Far East with its own collections and established İpeker Asia Organization.

       
2011      

The digital printing technology used for small yardages and sampling started to be used for serial manufacturing. We also started to produce “New Life” recycling fabrics and İpeker obtained its first “GRS”, Global Recycle Standard Certificate in its sector.

 
2012      

Eco-digital printing started. The first Dornier P1 Weaving machines for the product groups in its field were installed at İpeker in Turkey.

 
2013      
İpeker established its liaison office in Como, Italy. Great part of the factory machinery park was modified within the framework of renewal and expansion.
 
 
2014      
İpeker continued to invest in green solutions and focused on reducing carbon footprint actions.
 
 
2015      

İpeker announces that its green operations will help saving 431,170 grown trees, with its full sustainability program. İpeker is the winner of the 2015 the most environmental friendly industrial plant award.

2016      

İpeker announces that its green operations will help saving 540,313 grown trees, with its full sustainability program. İpeker is the winner of the 2016 The Most Environmental Friendly Export Company.

2017      

We proudly announce that İpeker is the first V-Labeled fabric producer in the world. The European Vegetarian Union certifies that İpeker’s 146 different fabrics correspond to the guidelines of the European Vegetarian Label and categorised in the Vegan V-Label.

İpeker is the winner of Sustainable Business Award 2017.
